User Experience

This section explains what it feels like to use Maicrotrader, step by step, from your first deposit to redeeming back to your wallet.

The goal is simple, you should always understand:

  1. What you are doing

  2. What the system is doing

  3. What you can verify on chain

Start here, the mental model

When you deposit into a vault, you are not sending funds to a company. You are interacting with smart contracts, and receiving vault shares in your wallet.

Your position is represented by:

  1. Your share balance

  2. The vault’s NAV, Net Asset Value

  3. Any pending redemption request status

  4. Any rewards points and vesting status, if incentives are active

The user journey, in one minute

  1. Connect your wallet

  2. Deposit USDC into the vault

  3. Receive vault shares minted to your wallet

  4. The vault routes capital for strategy execution on the trading venue

  5. Your value updates through NAV, based on positions and balances

  6. When you want out, you request redemption

  7. Redemptions are processed in settlement windows, then become claimable to your wallet

What to expect, timing and behavior

Deposits

Deposits are initiated by you and reflected as shares in your wallet once processed.

Trading and performance

Your vault value changes through NAV as positions move, funding and fees accrue, and the strategy executes.

Withdrawals

Withdrawals are not always instant because strategies can hold open positions. You request redemption anytime, then it settles during a settlement window, a cooldown may apply, then you claim.

Common questions

Is this custodial?

Deposits go to smart contracts, shares are minted to your wallet, redemption requests are initiated by you.

Why is my withdrawal pending?

Redemptions settle during settlement windows so the vault can close positions fairly, then your claim becomes available.

What exactly do I own?

You own vault shares in your wallet, shares represent proportional ownership of the vault.
